With the absolute basics understood, we'll now take this show on the road and visit 5 different tutors' studios, to see exactly how they've done it! The aim of this unit is to give you a barrel-load of inspiration and more practical advice on how you can set up your studio. We'd like to also take this opportunity to thank each of the tutors for taking the time out to let us film and chat with them for this course. So, let's visit our first studio.
Our first stop is South London to visit Yuki! Yuki's set-up is such a combination of spaces. It's a teaching space, a recording space and a practice space. We, therefore, thought it was the ideal start for this journey! Yuki will be giving us a tour of all of the hardware in this lesson, and we'll do our best to make sure every piece of gear is linked to in this write-up! So pop your guitar down, grab a cup of tea, and enjoy this studio tour!
If you're interested in hiring Yuki as a session player, the best way is via his Instagram profile, which you can see here:
Our next stop is to Hoxton in London with the amazing Franco Lacan. Franco's studio is a beautiful blend of analogue and digital. It has the guitars, amps, keys, bass and everything else you need in the analogue world, PLUS, it has a monster digital set up for recording and webinars especially. Franco is an absolute perfectionist, and this character really shows in his beautiful studio set up.

Next, we head south to Brighton, where we visit Mark Shoebottom. Mark's studio is deep in the digital world, with the computer very much at the heart of his set-up. Mark gives us a tour of all of his hardware in this lesson, and we'll do our best to make sure every piece of gear is linked to in this write-up! If you're interested in really modern gear this is the one for you!

Our next stop is London Victoria, to visit the amazing Harrison Blackamore! Harrison is one of our elite tutors, and for good reason. Over the past few years, Harrison has built up a phenomenal student base, teaching between 30-40 students a week. His home studio is a completely different set-up from our previous studios! There isn't a computer in sight. It's raw, it's beautiful, and it's a great place to learn and practice. Let's check it out!

Our final stop in this unit is Brighton, to visit Alex Barron. Alex has worked as a guitar tutor for YGA for many years but has always run his recording studio businesses alongside his teaching. He has finally realised his dream of owning his own, fully functioning, band recording space! It's such an exciting time for Alex, and he invited us to check it out. This is a massive step up from the home studio, but we thought it would be an exciting insight into what it takes to bring a recording setup to the next level!
