Lead Guitar Intermediates Level 1
Back to coursesIntermediate Level
This course follows directly on from our Lead Guitar Beginners course and is all about taking your lead playing to a performance-ready standard. You'll become confident playing and improvising across the entire fretboard using scales, arpeggios and every lead guitar technique you could ever need! The goal of the course is to master the five pentatonic shapes across the neck, and apply them to awesome ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin style riffs and solos!
We will be covering a lot of ground to make sure you are up to speed for intermediate guitar playing but our main focus will be looking at the 5 shapes of the pentatonic scale and how to move them into various different keys.
We will be learning cool new techniques, applying them to a Zeppelin inspired rock riff and even learning linking patterns which will allow you to solo all the way across the neck! There is a lot of information to cover in this course, so take your time.
We will be adding bends to your repertoire, learning how to link your patterns across the entire neck, and tackling the most challenging solo yet! The solo is a ZZ Top inspired track, so plenty of bending, vibrato and feel involved to make it sound great!
We will be learning a cool spider exercise to help improve your speed and accuracy on the guitar, we will be learning new licks and getting them 'under your fingers' so you can improvise with them whilst understanding how to use them over any track.
