I think this is one of the most beautiful melodies ever written, and it lends itself perfectly to some fingerstyle guitar playing. We wanted to do a really simple fingerstyle arrangement that you can try, and even though it has one or two tricky stretches, overall this should be manageable to play!

I think this is one of the most beautiful melodies ever written, and it lends itself perfectly to some fingerstyle guitar playing. We wanted to do a really simple fingerstyle arrangement that you can try, and even though it has one or two tricky stretches, overall this should be manageable to play!
So there is no tone to emulate, no lead guitar, just the chords and the melody. The whole song is in the key of G major and only has three chords in it. Here is the basic progression if you just wanted to strum along. The only thing to add to that is that we are using a time signature called "3/4". This means that we have three-quarter notes per bar. We, therefore, count "one two three, one two three" or "one and two and three and" per bar! Bear that in mind as you work through this track!
