A little about Emma.
Emma is truly passionate about her teaching and her students. She goes far beyond the lesson to ensure that the student really understands the guitar, and gets everything out of it.
This includes 'end of term' gigs with those who want to, extended lesson write ups via our site, and constant support through the week if you are having trouble with anything. She's a true professional and we are so happy to have her on the team!
Serving students in Selly Park, South Birmingham.
Emma teaches from her extremely cool home studio in Kitchener Road, B29 7QE. The studio is fully equipped with amps, guitars, pedals, comfy chairs and everything else you need to have a great lesson. If you are driving to the lessons, Emma has free parking available on the entire road, day or night.
If coming by bus you can take the 45, 45S or 47, which stops just outside the studio. Finally, if you arriving by train then the closest stop is Selly Oak.
Expert tutoring and structure make anything possible! 🎉
Emma combines his own experience and skill with our hand crafted course material and write up tools, to offer the complete learning experience. Our course material works in a very specific way that guarantees success. We teach you a new technique, skill or piece of theory via the course material, then as you improve in that we apply it to real world songs.
Plus, after the lesson you can find your material, notes and feedback live in your login area, direct from Emma, so you don’t miss a beat! This means you get the understanding of what you are doing, the ability to do it, and the fun of playing the songs you love! What could be better?
Lesson notes Tuesday 10th March
Great work today Jen, you absolutely smashed those chord changes! You've now completed the second lesson of our course. 🎉
So, this week I want you to continue working with this spider exercise, but now that you have the hang of it, try to do it at 70BPM, as we did in the lesson. Here's the tab as a reminder for you:
As well as that, with your 3 chords, I want you to try this slightly altered strumming pattern, once again alongside the beat that we were practising to.
Best of luck with your practice, Jen, and if you have any questions at all, just reach out and let me know.
See you next week, Emma.
