A little about Francisco.
Francisco Castro Bernhard is a Session Guitarist/Bassist and teacher based in London with a musical career of more than 20 years. After finishing his music degree in Germany, his work as a guitarist has led him to perform in numerous countries around the world, including Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and recently Chile.
His career as a musician and instructor has allowed him to share the stage with musicians of the calibre of Geoff Britton, drummer of The Wings, the band formed by Paul McCartney when The Beatles disbanded. His teaching main focus depends on the students' goals and what they want to achieve, combining overall techniques and harmony for improvisation and songwriting in different styles such as Pop, Rock, Jazz, Funk, and Soul.
Serving students in and around Islington, North London.
His studio is based in North London, with the nearest station being Caledonian Road and Barnsbury (Overground - 2 Min walk); optionally, the Caledonian Road station on the Piccadilly Line is close by (5 min walk). The area is well served by multiple bus routes, including 91, 17, 259, 274, and 153. Additionally, there is a parking space available in the gated community where he lives.
Lessons take place in a dedicated, fully equipped music room within my home, featuring high-quality instruments and professional-grade equipment designed to create an inspiring and comfortable learning environment.
Expert tutoring and structure make anything possible! 🎉
Francisco combines his own experience and skill with our hand crafted course material and write up tools, to offer the complete learning experience. Our course material works in a very specific way that guarantees success. We teach you a new technique, skill or piece of theory via the course material, then as you improve in that we apply it to real world songs.
Plus, after the lesson you can find your material, notes and feedback live in your login area, direct from Francisco, so you don’t miss a beat! This means you get the understanding of what you are doing, the ability to do it, and the fun of playing the songs you love! What could be better?
Lesson notes Tuesday 10th March
Great work today Jen, you absolutely smashed those chord changes! You've now completed the second lesson of our course. 🎉
So, this week I want you to continue working with this spider exercise, but now that you have the hang of it, try to do it at 70BPM, as we did in the lesson. Here's the tab as a reminder for you:
As well as that, with your 3 chords, I want you to try this slightly altered strumming pattern, once again alongside the beat that we were practising to.
Best of luck with your practice, Jen, and if you have any questions at all, just reach out and let me know.
See you next week, Francisco.
