A little about Adam.
Adam has been playing guitar for over 20 years and holds a Grade 8 Distinction in Electric Guitar. While teaching a wide range of styles and techniques, his particular specialism is acoustic fingerstyle guitar. In addition to the guitar, he has five years of professional experience as a bass player, recording and performing under One Little Independent Records. He is also skilled in singing and songwriting, bringing a well-rounded, professional depth to his musical instruction.
He teaches students of all ages and ability levels, from complete beginners to advanced players looking to refine their technique, develop their musicality, or explore new styles. Adam's teaching style is friendly, supportive, and encouraging, ensuring lessons are tailored to each student's specific goals, whether that is learning favourite songs, building strong technical foundations, writing original music, or preparing for exams. Believing that learning an instrument should be enjoyable and rewarding, he aims to create an environment that leaves students feeling motivated, confident, and excited to progress.

Expert tutoring and structure make anything possible! 🎉
Adam combines his own experience and skill with our hand crafted course material and write up tools, to offer the complete learning experience. Our course material works in a very specific way that guarantees success. We teach you a new technique, skill or piece of theory via the course material, then as you improve in that we apply it to real world songs.
Plus, after the lesson you can find your material, notes and feedback live in your login area, direct from Adam, so you don’t miss a beat! This means you get the understanding of what you are doing, the ability to do it, and the fun of playing the songs you love! What could be better?
Lesson notes Tuesday 10th March
Great work today Jen, you absolutely smashed those chord changes! You've now completed the second lesson of our course. 🎉
So, this week I want you to continue working with this spider exercise, but now that you have the hang of it, try to do it at 70BPM, as we did in the lesson. Here's the tab as a reminder for you:
As well as that, with your 3 chords, I want you to try this slightly altered strumming pattern, once again alongside the beat that we were practising to.
Best of luck with your practice, Jen, and if you have any questions at all, just reach out and let me know.
See you next week, Adam.
