Ronan Maclean is a professional guitarist and singer based in Hackney, London. He has spent the last three years performing professionally, both as a solo artist and in live bands, and through years of dedicated study and active gigging he has developed a high level of technical skill on the guitar.
Ronan brings fresh, real-life stage experience to every lesson, visiting students at home across Hackney and the surrounding areas. He absolutely loves music and wants nothing more than to share the genuine joy of playing and performing with everyone he teaches.
Ronan offers convenient home visit guitar lessons across Hackney, including Dalston, Stoke Newington, London Fields, Clapton, Stamford Hill and Bethnal Green, as well as the surrounding neighbourhoods. This means students can learn comfortably in their own space and on their own schedule.
If you don't have a guitar, Ronan can even bring a spare for you to try during the lesson and offer advice on what to buy.
Ronan combines his own experience and skill with our hand crafted course material and write up tools, to offer the complete learning experience. Our course material works in a very specific way that guarantees success. We teach you a new technique, skill or piece of theory via the course material, then as you improve in that we apply it to real world songs.
Plus, after the lesson you can find your material, notes and feedback live in your login area, direct from Ronan, so you don’t miss a beat! This means you get the understanding of what you are doing, the ability to do it, and the fun of playing the songs you love! What could be better?
Great work today Jen, you absolutely smashed those chord changes! You've now completed the second lesson of our course. 🎉
So, this week I want you to continue working with this spider exercise, but now that you have the hang of it, try to do it at 70BPM, as we did in the lesson. Here's the tab as a reminder for you:
As well as that, with your 3 chords, I want you to try this slightly altered strumming pattern, once again alongside the beat that we were practising to.
Best of luck with your practice, Jen, and if you have any questions at all, just reach out and let me know.
See you next week, Ronan.
