A little about Paul.
Paul is an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music (ARSM) and has been playing guitar for most of his life, and began teaching while a student. He now takes students through grade exams, teaching adults and children from beginner to advanced levels.
He has passed classical guitar examinations to Grade 8 and Performance Diploma (ARSM) level and has a music teaching qualification, the Certificate for Music Educators (CME). Paul can play many styles of guitar music but specialises in acoustic and classical because, as he says, “it has a wonderful repertoire of music that speaks for itself - without needing a singer or other instruments.

Expert tutoring and structure make anything possible! 🎉
Paul combines his own experience and skill with our hand crafted course material and write up tools, to offer the complete learning experience. Our course material works in a very specific way that guarantees success. We teach you a new technique, skill or piece of theory via the course material, then as you improve in that we apply it to real world songs.
Plus, after the lesson you can find your material, notes and feedback live in your login area, direct from Paul, so you don’t miss a beat! This means you get the understanding of what you are doing, the ability to do it, and the fun of playing the songs you love! What could be better?
Lesson notes Tuesday 10th March
Great work today Jen, you absolutely smashed those chord changes! You've now completed the second lesson of our course. 🎉
So, this week I want you to continue working with this spider exercise, but now that you have the hang of it, try to do it at 70BPM, as we did in the lesson. Here's the tab as a reminder for you:
As well as that, with your 3 chords, I want you to try this slightly altered strumming pattern, once again alongside the beat that we were practising to.
Best of luck with your practice, Jen, and if you have any questions at all, just reach out and let me know.
See you next week, Bryn.
