He has been playing guitar for 10 years and is a professional musician, composer and producer. Alongside guitar teaching, he also teaches music technology and composition. He performs with several bands including NOOKEE and The Kingman Project, and regularly composes and produces his own original music.
Ruben teaches students of all ages and ability levels, from complete beginners to more experienced players. He teaches acoustic and electric guitar in styles including Rock, R&B, Folk, Funk, Soul, Jazz Fusion and Latin. Lessons are fun, supportive and tailored to each student, helping them build confidence, improve their technique and enjoy making music.
Ruben teaches guitar from his home studio on Cory Crescent, CF5 6LS, and also offers online lessons. The studio is a relaxed, creative space where students can feel comfortable learning and making music. It’s around 20 minutes from Cardiff city centre by car.
Ruben combines his own experience and skill with our hand crafted course material and write up tools, to offer the complete learning experience. Our course material works in a very specific way that guarantees success. We teach you a new technique, skill or piece of theory via the course material, then as you improve in that we apply it to real world songs.
