It all started with a simple frustration from the player studies available at the time. You had two options available; Either you learn from the odd player who did a fancy VHS tape, but had difficulty putting into words how they play, or you learnt the solos and songs from that player, without getting any real insight as to how they were put together.
I had spent years and years learning from these great players, picking up bits and pieces here and there, and slowly forming it into something tangible that made sense. As a full time guitar tutor, I needed to be able to funnel this knowledge to my students...
So, I started on that process, and quickly realised that I had a real talent for creating course structures. I was really good at being able to refine the key knowledge from years of trial and error, and deliver it in a well structured, clearly defined course. Using these early courses with my personal students, I witnessed them suddenly jump up in skill level, and I knew that I was onto something that could work in video format too. And wow did it work!
