Scales: B Minor Backing Track

This slow track is a great chance to try out your Pink Floyd style licks. It's got plenty of space for you to try playing in a few different ways. A great option to start with is B Minor Pentatonic, the notes in this scale fit over all the chords in the progression so you can't really go wrong! Here's the B Minor Pentatonic scale in all 5 positions:

You can also try adding in some notes from the B Natural Minor scale too, in particular, going to the 2nd (C#) when the chord progression changes to A sounds great! If you'd like to know more about why it works so well check out our Theory Lab.

The Chords

The track follows a simple chord progression:

| Bm | A | G / Em / | Bm |

It's a slow progression so a good opportunity to try out some arpeggios too! Here is an arpeggio for each chord, but remember these can be played all across the neck, so you should practice in all positions.
