This is Mason Ramsey's first ever hit, and is a super cool blend of traditional country music and more modern sounds. Considering Mason is just 11 years old at this point, it is an exciting peak into the future for this talented child star. For us learning the track, it includes a range of open chords with a capo and a classic strumming pattern for beginners.
Let's start with all the chords for the song. We have 8 chords with the capo on the 5th fret. The chords, in order are as follows (You are doing each chord for 2 beats as you move through the progression. So you count "1, 2" on each chord).
You can use both a strumming pattern and arpeggios to seperate the verse and chorus sound. Simone goes through 05:15 in the video. Be sure to use the exact down or up strokes that Simone uses as it will massively help you get used to the idea of arpggiating chords. When we get tot he strumming pattern, we are doing as follows (remember that you play this rhythm once on each chord):
All done?
Congratulations
